Summary: O PmatE da Universidade de Aveiro convida-te a estar presente nas Competições Nacionais de Matemática, Biologia, Física e Português que terão lugar nos dias 28, 29 e 30 de Abril de 2009, na Universidade de Aveiro.

Trata-se de evento que reúne na final cerca de vinte mil alunos vindos de todo o território nacional, Ilhas e Moçambique. Esta iniciativa pioneira no mundo realiza-se há já 19 anos e tem como objectivo permitir a envolvência de toda a comunidade escolar em torno da promoção e divulgação das Ciências, particularmente da Matemática, Biologia, Física e Português. O envolvimento criado entre alunos, professores e comunidade local fomenta o gosto pela disciplina, ajuda a combater o insucesso e o abandono escolar, promovendo também, o uso dos computadores e da Internet, favorecendo o seu consequente desempenho no estudo. ENGLISH SUMMARY
This project has the goal of getting the entire school community involved in the promotion and dissemination of science, especially mathematics, physics, and biology. A platform for computer-assisted learning has been developed, that not only embraces the various levels of education, from primary to higher secondary education, but also develops content in a competition mode as well as for training. The project fosters the taste for science subjects and promotes the use of ICT, enhancing students’ performance in their studies.
