Summary: The project aims to encourage and motivate pupils to discover those prominent figures of the Hellenistic culture (Archimedes, Heron) till the modern "scientists" as Leonardo da Vinci, who contributed to the scientifical/technical development. The knowledge and the discovery of these scientists of the past will be made through the construction of some miniature models found in the code pages of the past.
The students work in groups and actively participate to the realization of a task; discover the scientists of the past who contributed with their ideas to the scientific/technical development; design, plan, organize the work; use technical drawing to design miniature models; identify solutions, to solve practical problems using correctly the tools; learn working principles of simple mechanics; prepare a report describing the most important steps of the project; prepare, organize and run the models' exhibition.
